The Texas Legislature must pass a bill for each memorial. DPSOA advocates legislatively to see these bills filed and passed. The initial funding for the memorial must come from private donations.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of this calendar will go towards the purchase of the remaining signs.
There are currently 14 memorial highway signs that have not been funded with a cost of over $500,000. The Texas Dept. of Transportation sets the cost of each sign. DPSOA/DPSTF have funded over 12 memorial signs at cost of $124,022.
